May 1st:My weekend

This weekend(okay I know this really should be in past tense, but I'm no English teacher), will probably pass by like most of my weekends spending it with the kids. And since it already happened I will let you know what went down. Friday after school, nappy time, a good afternoon nap brings great cheer to my life. Saturday went to the"wife's" house, chilled with the kids, it doesn't get much better than playing with Thomas the Train, Lincoln Logs, Legos, and watching SpongeBob. Good times dude, good times. Sunday pretty much more of the same. My kids are awesome, its kind of unfortunate for my "wife" that they are both little clones of my personality. I like it but have no clue what she thinks about it.

April 30th:Things beside school

Beside school what would I rather be doing...well here we go:eating a Popsicle, pretending to be an Ewok, throwing food to ducks, eating Japanese food, bombing birds with poo from a remote control airplane, sitting on my back porch enjoying life, hitting my finger with a hammer, burning a brush fire, eating chicken nuggets, listening to weird aliens play music in Mos Eisley, watching Dazed and Confused and pretending to be Matthew McConough's character, burning my tongue with a halbenero pepper, and lastly let's all sing it together "Puff, the magic dragon lived by the sea
And frolicked in the autumn mist in a land called honah lee...."

April 29th:Wood County Religious Class

Religions in school, religions in school, religions in school, I really don't know about this one, no matter what I say someone is going to be offended or think I am trying to push my ideas on everyone else, we call these people Democrats. Yes there is separation of church and state that's fantastic America is supposed to be a country free for religious worship, but even as a Republican I know the truth, "We the People" would prefer that religion to be Christianity. Personally I don't like that opinion and it demeans as all, no law should be passed or enforced that comes from a religious belief. Now I am not saying that because the Bible says "Thou shall not kill", we should not enforce it, there is a difference between moral values and religious values. Morality is doing right for humanity and living a "human" existence, basically being a higher life form than a Praying Mantis that eats her mates head after copulating. Religious values are basing your beliefs on what a book says or what some crazy wacko with long hair and hippy beads tells you to do. As long as Wood County realizes these facts and treats this Bible Study class as a non-religious class, then go to it. But if they use this class as a breeding ground to recruit Christians then they are not keeping religion separate from State.

April 28th:Happy or Sad

Currently I am okay. Neither extremely happy nor depressed. Maybe its the zoloft talking but that has been my life for most of my life. I have brief moments of being very happy but most of the time I'm just chill. Not that I walk around like a stoner or anything, some people think I am but everyone has the own opinion. Opinions however are like buttholes everyone has one and everyone thinks theirs is the only one that doesn't stink.

April 27th:Liers and thieves

Okay so basically this is what I thing of these two categories, they both suck. Both are offensive to the general public, sure everyone has told little white lies and exaggerated the truth a little, but we are talking about living an entire life of lies. Liers I can deal with, however it does get annoying. On to thieves. People that steal from others are one of the lowest forms of life in my opinion. I had a principal in junior high that called worthless people preprotazoans. Basically his description of this life form was the smallest most worthless animal on the face of the planet. Your whole life has spent attached to the bottom of a chasm in the ocean floor, in total darkness. Your only ray of hope was the slight chance that a passing whale might defecate somewhere above you and slowly the feces would drift down and land on you warming you for a brief moment of time.

Okay did it again

Sometimes having too much time is a bad thing. You get carried away doing trivial little tasks and forget to do the trivial little tasks you should have been up to. Anyways most of my life has been like this I guess its the ADD or the semi-Asbergers thing I got going on in my head. Either way I figure I am pretty crazy.

Daughter's birthday

Okay this is crazy for me to even believe, my daughter turned 4. Kind of weirded out by this fact, since soon she will be going to school and all that jazz.

January

Students presented their quiz games after much rescheduling, went pretty good, most groups did a great job on their games. Started the new semester adding a lot of new students to drafting classes from game design.

Christmas

Christmas is great again, now that I have children old enough to enjoy it. I built a train/lego table for my kids, put a huge amount of time into it, luckily they did play with it and still are. My wife got me one of the best presents ever, a signed star wars book, that has pop-ups and two working lightsabers in it. Plus christmas food is always a bonus, more fatty goodness.

December

Well a month of snow days, two hour delays and two weeks with no school, loved it. Students finishing their quiz games, good progress.

Thansgiving

One of my favorite days, all you have to do is eat and get fat. I mean really other than that what is the point in thanksgiving. Yummy food and sleepy turkey time. Its always great to eat my grandma's fried stuffing, best thing ever.

November

November is always a crazy time of year for a school teacher. Election day, veterans day, Thanksgiving break, snow days, it seems we are out of school about the same amount of time we are in school. Students did well when we were here progressing well in to flash animation and movie making.

Long time no see

Just an intro blog for some reason I have been making my students do 2 blogs a week and have not been doing the same so time to catch up and get my blog on.

My Favorite Computer Game

Huuuge fan of video games!!! My favorite games are the Final fantasy series, I like games that involve strategy and that you cannot beat in one day. Anyways of these my favorite is probably Final Fantasy IX, just had a great story and fantastic game play and editing capabilities.

My Favorite Board Game

Well I am a great fan of board games love em especially the one's involving strategy(Clue, Stratego, Risk) and intellectual thought (Chess, Checkers, Trivial Pursuit). However I grew up in an insanely competitive household, probably due to my father being a coach. The greatest board game ever played in my house would have to be Monopoly. It was always fun to tick off my brother by never selling him anything, and gang up on my sister. Needless to say I do not believe the three of us ever completed a game, it was usually over when someone threw the board into the air. Memories :)

Incoming

Idit and the gang will be at SVHS on Wednesday October 15.

Homecoming Week

Last week was SVHS homecoming activities. Fun but very crazy week. For the first time I actually participated, let me emphasize, I am a happier person this year. I ended up dress up for PJ day, dressed as Darth Vader for Superhero/Supervillian Day, dressed as a White Trash Jedi for Crazy Day, and dressed as Senor Spirit for Spirit Day. Powderpuff football was entertaining but watching the Senior boys cheerleading team was the highlight of the week.

Internet conference #2

Last Thursday we had our 2nd internet confernce, everything went well. It was good to see the other teachers progress reports.

Falling Behind

I have my students post twice a week and just realized I had not posted since Sept something, bad bad teacher.

First internet conference

I missed school today, no Gargamel still had not caught the Smurfs. Hopefully my lesson plans were followed but going on past experience probably did not happen. We had a internet conf. with Lee today on Progress Reports., interesting to say the least. Other than that still impersonating a Keebler Elf, working on my house.
